The Maritime Gig Festival activities will take place downtown along Harborview Drive, between Pioneer and Rosedale, and along the waterfront near Jerisich Dock and Skansie Brother's Park. From SR 16, take the "City Center" exit, and travel downhill on Pioneer Street. Harborview Drive between Pioneer and Rosedale will be closed to traffic on the day of the festival, and parking will be limited close to the festival site, so look for parking as you come down Pioneer and the shuttle.
Unless otherwise noted, all events are free and open to the public. Please call the Chamber office at 851-6865 or the contact number in parentheses for more information. Blessing of the Fleet Celebration
Hosted By The Knights of Columbus
The purpose of the Blessing of the Fleet Celebration is to bring the community together in dignified celebration of the historical significance and contributions made by the fishermen in the development of Gig Harbor; to remember fallen comrades; and to bless the fleet and success of its catch as it embarks on yet another season of fishing. It is also to recognize the historical contribution made by Gig Harbor wooden boat builders to the Pacific Northwest. This years' celebration will be held on Sunday, June 8th, at Jerisich Dock and Skansie Brothers Park.
